Privacy Policy

1. What data we collect

For the vast majority of tools — image compression, PDF processing, JSON formatting, password generation, unit conversion, and more — no data is collected at all. Everything runs in your browser using the Canvas API, Web Crypto API, or WebAssembly. Your input never leaves your device.

For tools that require a live server request, only the minimum necessary data is sent:

• IP lookup / My IP Address — your IP address is sent to ip-api.com to return location data. We do not log it.
• DNS Lookup — the domain name you enter is sent to Google's DNS-over-HTTPS API (8.8.8.8). We do not log it.
• SSL Checker — the domain name is sent to our server to make a TLS connection. We do not log it.
• HTTP Headers Checker — the URL is sent to our server to make a HEAD request. We do not log it.
• Contact form — your name, email, and message are stored to allow us to reply.

We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics for aggregate, anonymised traffic data (page views, country-level location). This does not identify individual users. You can opt out via your browser's privacy settings or an ad blocker.

2. Cookies

We use one preference cookie: your light/dark theme choice. No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking. See the Cookie Policy for full details.

3. Third-party services

The following third-party services are used on this site:

• Google Analytics / GTM — anonymised traffic analytics. Google's privacy policy.
• ip-api.com — IP geolocation for the IP lookup tool. ip-api legal.
• Google DNS-over-HTTPS — DNS resolution for the DNS lookup tool.
• LanguageTool API — grammar checking for the Grammar Checker tool. Text is sent to their API for processing.

4. Your rights

Since we collect almost no personal data, there is very little to exercise rights over. Specifically:

• Contact form submissions can be deleted on request — email us and we'll remove them.
• Browser-local data (theme preference) can be cleared by clearing your browser's cookies and local storage.
• Google Analytics data is anonymised and cannot be attributed to you individually.

5. Children

Toolminex does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. Since most tools collect no data at all, there is no meaningful risk. The contact form should not be used by children under 13 without parental supervision.

6. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. We won't email you about it — check back if you're concerned.
