Focus min
The Pomodoro Technique in four simple steps.
Start a focus session
Click the play button to begin a 25-minute focus session. Put your phone away, close distracting tabs, and work on a single task.
Take your break when the timer ends
When the session ends, the timer automatically switches to a 5-minute short break. A sound plays and a desktop notification fires if you allowed it.
Repeat — take a long break every 4 sessions
After 4 focus sessions, the timer switches to a 15-minute long break. The session dots at the bottom track your progress toward the next long break.
Customize to your workflow
Click the Settings tile to adjust focus duration, short break, long break, and how many sessions trigger a long break. Changes take effect immediately.
The Pomodoro Technique works for any task that benefits from focused, uninterrupted time.
Deep work & coding
Break large programming tasks into focused 25-minute sprints to maintain flow without burning out.
Studying & revision
Use Pomodoro sessions to study one subject at a time, with breaks to consolidate memory before moving on.
Writing & content creation
Eliminate writer's block by committing to just one Pomodoro of writing — the time constraint removes perfectionism.
Email & admin tasks
Batch email and admin work into one or two Pomodoros instead of letting it interrupt your day continuously.
Remote work focus
Working from home makes it easy to get distracted. Pomodoro sessions create structure and accountability.
ADHD & focus challenges
Short, time-boxed work intervals with mandatory breaks are especially effective for people who struggle with sustained attention.
