Trace the full redirect chain for any URL and see every hop with its status code.
Enter any URL to trace its full redirect chain. Each hop shows the HTTP status code and destination URL. Supports 301, 302, 303, 307, 308, and other 3xx redirects. Up to 15 hops are followed.
Enter a URL and see every redirect hop with its status code and destination.
Enter a URL
Paste the URL you want to trace. The tool follows every redirect hop and shows the full chain.
Review the redirect chain
See each hop with its status code (301, 302, 307, 308), the URL it redirects to, and the final destination.
Identify issues
Look for redirect chains longer than 2 hops, redirect loops, or incorrect final destinations.
A redirect chain is too long
Each hop adds latency and dilutes link equity. More than 2 hops is worth fixing β trace the chain and collapse it to a direct redirect.
Old URLs after a site migration
After moving a site, verify that every old URL redirects correctly to its new equivalent. A 404 where a 301 should be loses the page's ranking history.
A URL is landing on the wrong page
Trace it hop by hop to find where in the chain it goes wrong. Often a misconfigured rule is redirecting to a generic page instead of the specific one.
Checking 301 vs 302 is correct
Permanent moves should use 301 (or 308). Temporary ones use 302 (or 307). Using the wrong type affects how search engines treat the redirect.
Affiliate links
Trace an affiliate link to confirm it lands on the correct product page and the tracking parameters survive the redirect chain.
Ad campaign landing pages
Before spending money on a campaign, verify the destination URL redirects to the right landing page β not the homepage.
