How to measure bust
Wrap a tape measure around the fullest part of your bust, keeping it parallel to the floor. Don't pull tight — leave a finger's width of ease. Measure in centimetres.
How to measure waist
Measure around your natural waistline — the narrowest part of your torso, usually about 2–3 cm above your belly button. Stand relaxed, don't suck in.

Men's and women's sizing use completely different scales. Tops and bottoms also differ — a women's M top doesn't guarantee a women's M bottom fits.

A US women's M is a UK 12-14 and EU 40-42. On sites like ASOS (UK), Zara (EU), or Shein (Asia), the size labels mean different things — this converter prevents the wrong order.
Buying gifts for someone abroad
If you know someone wears a US men's L, you can convert to EU 52-54 and order from a European brand without guessing or asking.
Shopping Asian fashion brands
Asian sizing (especially from Chinese and Korean brands) runs smaller than Western sizing. A Western M often maps to an Asian XL or XXL — the chart makes this explicit.
Comparing sizes across brands
H&M, Zara, and Uniqlo all size differently even within the same country. The cm measurement column is the most reliable anchor when brands don't agree.
