How to measure your foot length (CM)

1Place a sheet of paper on a hard floor and stand on it with your heel against a wall.
2Mark the tip of your longest toe (usually the big toe, but not always).
3Measure from the wall to the mark in centimetres.
4Measure both feet — use the larger measurement.
5Add 0.5–1 cm for comfort when selecting a shoe size.

Sizing charts differ by gender — a US men's 8 is not the same as a US women's 8. Women's sizes run about 1.5 sizes larger than men's for the same foot length.
